Poem -> English Now, not Then Dr.Parvathy warrier
| Give me just a tiny leaf
Before I leave this crumbling frame
And not a wreath of scented blooms
When my eyes are closed.
Lend me just a tender smile
Before the dark curtain falls
And not a pearly drop of tear
When I turn an icy mass.
Tell me just the very word
Before the day's toil done
And not a shower of glowing words
When I pass gently into the Night.
Love me just once, my dear
Before my heart is numb
And not a thousand remembrances
When in my Home live in peace.
