Poem -> English
Am I to be so?
Sandhya S.N

My bangles always burst to laugh

As if the bells of a rainbow

But, it keen to give a tone

With mystic mellowing silence

My hair sways in the breeze

As if the flare of ecstasy

But it, conceal the feel,

Tight, to root as in the mud

My heart whoops on my hits

As if a tide to touch the sky

But my eyes and my smile

Screen the treat and keep conceal

My heart brim over my eyes

As if to flood the whole land-mass

But its vortex never seen runoff

But contain it as pustule

My mind ablaze at those misuses

As if the weapon, the indra vajra

But while at time to use it right

I feel some have frozen my might

While alone I ask myself

Why is it? Why am I so?

But a silence spreads a sigh

To reply it with a strife

What is my guilt?

Why am I so?

I asked again n again

To arbitrate my deeds and trots

The reply did reverberate

To vibrate my deaf ears

But those words vitrified

My inner ears with its stroke

“Dear, you born as Lass”

But Dear!   I ask you…

Am I to be so???
